These waters abound with big pike, lake trout, walleye and arctic grayling (species vary by lake). Fishing is considered a staple of all hunting packages and our hunters love it. All fishing is catch-and-release except for those fish taken for shore lunch.
Pike
Our Northern pike fishery offers size and quantity, with over a thousand Master Anglers and trophies up to 53″. Fishing season opens beginning of June and closes in September. Monster Northern Pike movement patterns change during the coarse of the year and happen fairly rapidly. Mouths of rivers produce all throughout the season.

The North Seal River lake trout rivals any trout fishery in Manitoba, with lots of fish in the 12-17 lb. range, trophies ranging from 35-42″, and some real monsters up to 49″ (that’s a 50 lb. lake trout)! Rivers, channels, and sand points offer excellent habitat in the spring with the trout descending into deeper holes as the summer progresses.

Walleye
The North Seal walleye fishery shocks every angler who experiences it. To see large walleye suspended mid-day amongst cabbage beds in crystal clear water is amazing. To see four surrounding a white jig in 4 feet of water is anticipation at its finest.

Arctic Grayling
North Seal grayling are beautiful, with a purplish gunmetal hue to their bodies, and fins painted pink, purple and blue, each Nature’s finest watercolor. The waters here can wow even the most experienced fly-fishermen. The largest grayling ever caught here was 24″ and 14-18″ fish are the norm.
