2024 Pre-Season Report

The beginning of our season is right around the corner and pre-season signs are excellent. The first wave of caribou are now in the province. A 2023 survey confirmed our herd, the Kaminuriak of Nunavut/Manitoba herd, is healthy and stable, with relatively no change in population at 250,000 animals.

We are also eager to begin our moose season. We have been seeing substantial numbers of moose this spring and summer, indicating an excellent population for the 2024 season after a mild winter. Lots of old burn areas were really prolific this summer. We have seen some giants and our guides and crew are chomping at the bit.  We are looking forward to an excellent moose season in 2024.
