I went on a bear hunt scouting at the same time for a moose hunt. Before I left I gave you a deposit.
Grand Slam Hunting Manitoba Monsters
What makes ‘Manitoba Monsters?’ Start with an area so remote, so wild, so untouched, these animals have thrived for centuries. Add in lush terrain and habitat, creating an ecosystem where these animals can grow to record-book size. 200 miles from the Northernmost road, they have never felt pressure and most have never seen a human being.
Why
Hunting North
We are truly one of the last remote places in the world for you to experience hunting of this caliber.
Our incredible exclusive allocation of over 6,000,000 acres and conservation management guarantees it will stay special and pristine forever.
Incredible areas for
Stalking opportunities
All hunting areas offer excellent grounds for walking with large, protected waterways to bring you within yards of each trophy. It is beautiful country, built for world-class hunting, and one you will never forget.
Moose
Our exclusive area for moose stretches over 5,000,00 acres. With 12 different rivers systems and 100 lakes, meadows and swamps, it is the ideal habitat for the large trophy moose we are known for. Over 200 miles from the closest road, this is the epitome of a remote fly-in only moose hunt.
More about our MooseCaribou
The Manitoba terrain offers several advantages over other caribou hunts. Our area is tundra yet offers a mix of terrain and small stands of spruce. This gives both gun and bowhunters the advantage of hunting by stalking and spotting, instead of waiting for the animals to come to you.
More about our CaribouBlack Bear
The black bear at Ganglers are so impressive, Ralph and Vicki Cianciarulo of Archers Choice named them ‘Manitoba Monsters’. These bears have never seen a human before and have lived to old age and gigantic sizes. This area of Manitoba is also known for producing all phases of colored black bears and it’s not unheard of to take a color-phase over 7’ long. Several B&C class bears have been taken here. Black bear is available as an option to all moose hunts.
Ptarmigan
In September, the birds are making a colorful transition from summer to winter colors and make a spectacular mount. A combination of winter white and bright mottled belly, they are an exclusive Northern treat. Ptarmigan populations are cyclical from year to year. For that reason, we keep licenses at each caribou camp which can be purchased should you choose to hunt ptarmigan (Daily limit 10, Possession limit – 20).
Fish
These waters abound with big pike, lake trout, walleye and arctic grayling (species vary by lake). Fishing is considered a staple of all hunting packages and our hunters love it. All fishing is catch-and-release except for those fish taken for shore lunch.
